Nestled in the corner of the upper Chesapeake Bay, Elkton’s Arts & Entertainment District features artistic treasures great and small. Consisting of unique galleries, live music performances, theatre performances, and delicious restaurants, Elkton has something for everyone. The district is also home to several murals and public sculpture installations.

On First Fridays, we invite you to stroll along Main Street in our historic downtown, listen to live music, and peruse our galleries featuring the work of over one-hundred local artists and authors. Be sure to make a
stop along our First Friday Art Loop, featuring gallery openings, artist talks, performances, and book signings. Try an artisanal beer from our craft brewery or catch a show at our new music hall. Grab a bite to eat at one of our many restaurants. Meet our merchants and browse our one-of-a-kind shops. From April through October, enjoy live music outdoors during our Music on Main performances. Where is the Elkton’s Arts & Entertainment District?
Elkton is at the crossroads of Maryland 213 and Route 40; Just a short drive off exit 109A from I-95. The district consists of 75.3 acers which include the Cecil County Arts Council (CCAC); the Historical Society of Cecil County (HSCC); and Cecil College Elkton Station Gallery and Performance Hall. The district also includes galleries, a micro-brewery, a music hall, and several restaurants featuring classic American, Italian, and Japanese fare.
What kind of arts can we expect to see in Elkton?
Elkton is proud to support over one-hundred local artists throughout our district, including visual arts, performing arts, and public art. We are proud to feature unique galleries and retail shops including The Palette & The Page, a woman-owned gallery that showcases the work of local artists, authors, poets, and musicians, and Art Space on Main, a women-owned working pottery studio, gallery, and gift shop.
