The Town of Elkton has been designated a "Maryland Main Street" Community and an "Arts & Entertainment District". Elkton has been developing a grassroots program for our business district dedicated to historic preservation and redeveloping downtown.
The Elkton Alliance serves as the Main Street Manager and works together with the local government and business community to restore, promote and maintain our diverse historic downtown area while attracting new enterprises for the benefit of our community's residents, businesses, and visitors to make our community an even better place than it is today.
We are consistent with the structure of Maryland Main Street programs: Design, Organization, Economic Vitality, and Promotion

Christmas Cookie Throwdown
Join us for a competition where our merchants compete over who bakes the best overall cookie, inviting the community to taste-test and vote on their favorite!
Old Fashioned Christmas
Complimentary carriage rides (Sign-up 5-6pm, Rides 6-8pm), Hot cocoa, compliments of the Elkton Rotary, Performance by Upper Chesapeake Orchestra, and a Strolling Santa.
